Een parodie rond het leven van Abt Joseph Van Herck
Bij nader onderzoek door kunstenaar Jos Herck zijn er diverse levensfasen van hemzelf en Abt Joseph van Herck die hem inspireerde om deze installatie te realiseren.
(Sint-Truiden, 1714 - 1780) was sinds 1751 de 65e abt van de abdij van Sint-Truiden en co-heer van
de stad Sint-Truiden.
Onder zijn abbatiaat groeide de spanningen tussen abdij, de stad Sint-Truiden en
de prins-bisschoppen van Luik. Daarnaast liet hij het abdijcomplex grondig verbouwen.
Hij legde ook de 1ste steen van het huidige Stadhuis van Sint – Truiden

Binnen zijn artistieke veld, bouwde hij een kunstplatform uit in Haspengouw waarbij diverse kunstorganisaties oprichtte en coachte.
Hij ontwikkelde 3 spraakmakende Int Triënnales in Borgloon.
Vanaf 2013 stuurt hij BOX Art Borgloon naar een artistieke baken in de Nationale kunstscene.

Artist Jos Herck's exploration of their intertwined life phases inspired the creation of this installation.
Abt Joseph Van Herck (1714 - 1780) served as the 65th abbot of the Abbey of Sint-Truiden and co-lord of the city of Sint-Truiden from 1751.
His tenure saw escalating tensions between the abbey, the city of Sint-Truiden,
and the Prince-Bishops of Liège. He instigated a comprehensive renovation of the abbey complex and laid the first stone of the current Town Hall of Sint-Truiden.
Joseph Herck (born in Sint-Truiden in 1954) is a Visual Artist and Curator of Fine Arts. Within his artistic domain, he established an art platform in Haspengouw, founding and mentoring various art organizations. Noteworthy among his endeavors are the organization of three acclaimed Int Triënnales in Borgloon and the transformation of BOX Art Borgloon into a beacon of the national art scene since 2013.
